The Story of the Champions of the Round Table Quote I
"Verily, it would seem that in all ways you seek to put shame and sorrow upon me. And yet I have ever been your true knight, and have saved your kingdom from truage to Ireland and have served you very faithfully in all ways. Would to God I had been made knight by any man in the world than you."
-The Story of the Champions of the Round Table, Howard Pyle

The Builders by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
All are architects of Fate,
Working in these walls of Time;
Some with massive deeds and great,
Some with ornaments of rhyme.
Nothing useless is, or low;
Each thing in its place is best;
And what seems but idle show
Strengthens and supports the rest.
For the structure that we raise,
Time is with materials filled;
Our to-days and yesterdays
Are the blocks with which we build.
Truly shape and fashion these;
Leave no yawning gaps between;
Think not, because no man sees,
Such things will remain unseen.
In the elder days of Art,
Builders wrought with greatest care
Each minute and unseen part;
For the Gods see everywhere.
Let us do our work as well,
Both the unseen and the seen;
Make the house, where Gods may dwell,
Beautiful, entire, and clean.
Else our lives are incomplete,
Standing in these walls of Time,
Broken stairways, where the feet
Stumble as they seek to climb.
Build to-day, then, strong and sure,
With a firm and ample base;
And ascending and secure
Shall to-morrow find its place.
Thus alone can we attain
To those turrets, where the eye
Sees the world as one vast plain,
And one boundless reach of sky.
Working in these walls of Time;
Some with massive deeds and great,
Some with ornaments of rhyme.
Nothing useless is, or low;
Each thing in its place is best;
And what seems but idle show
Strengthens and supports the rest.

The Chesnut Soldier Quote II
"You're early today," Nia said boldly. "Where've you been?"
"Nowhere and everywhere," Evan replied.
"Is that a riddle?"
"It could be but it's not."

The Book of Sand Quote I
In a voice that was not mine, I barely managed to stammer, "This can't be."
Still speaking in a low voice, the stranger said, "It can't be, but it is."

The Star of Kazan Quote II
"Perhaps by that time you'll be married to Rosina."
"Rosina?" Zed looked at her, puzzled, and she was glad he had forgotten the name of the girl who had tried to give her a kitten.
And "No, I won't," he said firmly when she had explained, and he looked at her in a way that made her feel absurdly happy.
-The Star of Kazan, Eva Ibbotson
